Core JP (BO1) and Core ZH (BO1) matchmaking queues are now live! Jump in and find games against players using the same regional format.
Select Japanese (JP/EN) or Chinese (ZH/EN) from the language picker in the top navigation bar. Your card images and text will update immediately — no page reload needed.
The Japanese and Chinese formats are based on cards officially released in each region. If you have more details about the format or release schedule, please contact me on Discord or at [email protected].
We're excited to welcome Japanese and Chinese players to Duels.ink. Let the duels begin!

The Infinity format is now live in ranked matchmaking with both BO1 and BO3 queues.
Infinity Constructed lets you build decks using all released sets — including cards that have rotated out of Core Constructed. Each queue has its own MMR. These queues are in beta and will run through August 2026.

We've launched a Ko-fi page for those who want to support the project. Funds go toward server costs, development tools (Claude Code), development time, and some booster boxes.
Two tiers are available:
You can now rewatch your completed games from your perspective. Replay includes full action reconstruction with playback controls — speed adjustment, turn-by-turn navigation, and pause/play.
Replays can be downloaded from your account page and replayed from the Replay Viewer. Replay links are public — share them with anyone, no login required.
Replays are currently retained for 3 days (this will be increased later). This feature is Patron-exclusive for now and will be available to everyone in a future update.
Play against a bot powered by Xiaomi MiMo v2 Flash (via OpenRouter). It plays at medium difficulty — planning full turns with strategic reasoning.
This is still experimental and will be improved over time. There is a monthly cost limit on LLM usage; when the budget runs out, the bot falls back to the easy bot (ISMCTS) for the rest of the month.
The LLM bot is Patron-exclusive and won't be made available to everyone unless it becomes cheap enough to run.

We've completely overhauled the rating system. Elo has been replaced with Glicko-2, a more modern and accurate rating algorithm used by many competitive games and platforms.
The shuffle algorithm has been upgraded and is now more secure and truly unpredictable. Every deck shuffle is as fair as it gets.
The end-of-game screen is now a modal overlay on top of the game board instead of replacing it entirely. You can dismiss it and review the final board state — check cards in play, discard piles, and more.

You can now request to undo your last action during your turn. Your opponent will see the request and can choose to accept or deny it. If hidden information was revealed (e.g. cards drawn or milled), this will be shown to your opponent so they can make an informed decision. A small time bonus is granted when an undo is accepted to compensate for the negotiation delay.
In matchmaking, undo requests are limited to 1 per turn. In bot games, undos are automatically accepted.
Thanks to everyone who requested this feature: @Churr0x, @Ritooon, @Negan, @ppdro09, @mikikaoru, @Nels, @aitigbl

Earlier today, the server experienced a crash that forced us to perform emergency maintenance. During recovery, we discovered that some game data had become corrupted and could not be restored.
Game history was reset — all past game snapshots and replay data were lost. This means:
The good news is that everything that matters to your account is perfectly intact:
In short: you won't notice any difference when you log in. Your profile, your collection, your rank — it's all exactly as you left it.
We brought the database back online, rebuilt the affected tables, and added safeguards to prevent this kind of issue going forward — including better indexing and an automated cleanup system for old game data.
We take data integrity seriously and we're sorry this happened. The silver lining is that the actual impact on players is minimal — no accounts, decks, or progress were lost. Thank you for your patience and for being part of Duels.ink.
